voici copie du mail que je vais envoyer à Pacificled _ désolé il est bien évidemment en Anglais
Hello
I am the president of a non lucrative French marine tankkeeping association : francenanorecif and webmaster of its website :
www.francenanorecif.fr
During the past week end, one of our member experienced a very serious accident due a light clamp bought from you during the first months of 2012 by Mr Nicolas Philibot (France-29). The fixture was re sold and bought as second-hand in my forum. At the first use this week end by the new owner, a noise was heard and the person was stuck to the lamp by the 220V voltage. By an extraordinary chance, he was able to move backwards, as a consequence, the adaptator fell on the ground and the socket went out of the plug. Nevertheless the person was brought in emergency to Hospital where he spent 24 hours and now has to undergo regular medical examinations.
As he quite used to manipulating electricity, he decided to try and find how the accident occured when back home.
So, the fixture is made in such a way that if you want to have full access to the electrical wires, you have to break and put it into definitively out of order, so that it is impossible one should pretend the fixture had been fixed before and the accident due to an after-sale manipulation. So, as he opened the fixture, he realized the double isolation was not going farther than the initial socket! Furthermore, when he drew the electrical wires from the flexible arm he was able to find solder points that had no reason to be there. These soldering points were protected by a thermic sheath of such a poor quality that holes had apperead within the sheath and electrical contact points made between the wires and the metallic flexible arm, and so the electrical shock was made possible.
At examination, that light clamp that was bought from your site not only proved to be non properly electrically isolated for use near water, all the more salted water, but the normal use that one awaits from such an item can be fatal at any moment without warning !
As these fixtures were quite widely bought for smaller tanks, they can be quite found with people. At the very moment I was told of the accident and quite sure about the source of the appliance, the news have been spread over to other French forums about a possible health danger. At the moment, it seems one other member owns such an older version of this fixture, as I have acknowledged that the orlder and now dangerous version has been stopped being sold. Nevertheless, we DO need to know the precise way to distinguish between older dangerous and newer safer versions of the fixture.
The quicker the information shall reach me, the quicker the information will be spread and accident avoided, and also sales will resume for you as I have made screen copies of this fixture being sold on your Ebayshop still this afternoon. My point is not to cause problems but to avoid lethal accidents to people.
You will be able to find explanative pictures of that examined clamp bought from you here (sorry, for this part, the forum is in French)

At the moment, we can not see any particular sign on this appliance in cause that would help recognizing it : no cee label, no sign of any norm, nor any series number, nor any name or brand.
So please, give as many information you will be able to give.
Of course, I do not underline the fact that the new fixtures should be well examined so that any futher hazard should be taben nor any accident happen.
I am looking forward to receiving an answer from your sales service
Sincerely yours
Philippe Sanguinede
